broken ice on the river
a heart through the window

a girl dressed in black
simple girl with tied back hair
standing straight and still
black buckle boots
soft face, unknown, reflecting eyes

she wants to be a part of someone
comfortable, contacting
simplicity in silence
she wants an old person
stories and reasons undusted

would you really ever?
you've forgotten her already.
what were you doing while she danced?
her twirls are just achingly her now.
